Bio
Rachel Bailit was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She began a career as a broadcast journalist while still in college, reporting for television networks in Boston, Washington, D.C. and New York. She directed and produced a film on volunteerism for the Clinton-Gore re-election campaign titled “Making The Difference”. With her attentions turned toward acting, Rachel moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television.
Rachel recently performed her acclaimed one-woman show,
“Sugar Happens”, in Los Angeles and at St. Luke’s Theatre in Times Square in New York City.
Rachel recently starred in two TV pilots: a vampire sitcom, “The Vamps Next Door” and a drama “Otis”. She also filmed an episode of a new Comedy Central sketch comedy show “Jon Benjamin Has A Van” which will air this summer.
Rachel’s past film credits include the comedy “I’m Not Like That No More” and Paramount’s “Festival In Cannes” directed by Henry Jaglom. She played alongside Jim Carrey in Ron Howard’s “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”. Rachel has appeared in many television shows including “Desperate Housewives”, “Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show”, “NYPD Blue” and the role of “Marissa” in “General Hospital”.
She has appeared in numerous national commercial campaigns including McDonalds, Arbys, Dodge, and Heineken. She has been featured as a model in G.Q and Flaunt Fashion Magazine.
